We are looking for Pantry Volunteers in the Fareham area.

Location: Fareham Unit 28, Fareham Shopping Centre PO16 OPQ

Working hours: (Optional choice from the following shifts)

Monday 9.00am to 12.30pm

Tuesdays 3.00pm to 6.00pm

Fridays 9.00am to 12.30pm

Key Tasks/Responsibilities:

• Dealing with the general public and service providers: Engaging with members mainly face to face with some email contact.
• Providing customers with information: Providing information on how the Pantry works, helping sign up of membership and sign post to other service providers where needed.
• Retail and manual Handling: Ensuring Rotation of stock, completion of daily check sheets, taking in and checking food orders, with some manual handling required.
• Productivity requirements: To help GCS by encouraging new member signs ups and giving members information on up and coming courses.

Desirable Criteria:

• A current level 2 Food Safety Certificate (Or willingness to undertake in house)
• A current level 2 in Retail

About you:

• Previous customer service experience – face-to-face
• The ability to deliver a consistently positive member experience, even under pressure
• Basic IT skills, Word and Excel preferred.
• A track record of exceeding customer expectations and working on a Team environment
